final piece and alpha beta testing

Finally it's done..after days of editing and testing,it went to the end, finally when u look at ur work,u go,what a journey!
throughout the whole semester i not only learned whats multimedia authoring process, choosing the combination of media elements that best suit the message of the application, sequencing them into a coherent pattern, adding special effects and embedding interactivity. but also practically working on the real applications, getting familiar with dreamweaver, and flash. i learned to used different authoring tools for media applications.insert media, graphics and how to make it more interactive with the users and some basic, useful art principles using on designs.
it was really a new n fun way through the whole semester's learning under Dr. neo's guiding.I'm glad i did really learned something.this is all will be worthwhile in my future career's way of journey.
Add on some final testing process here, after i have done the whole thing,i just forwarded it to few of my friends, including some expertise in design. they helped me to test on the GUI,the layout of the main page;see if its technically working well.besides, they did gave some suggestion on the navigation tool bars and content.luckily all the links are working pretty fine.
Hope i did gave myself this semester's work a nice ending period...
Do continuous learning through life is my work ethic:P
Au revoir!

last class was all in the hurry,so i just poorly posted one page of my company website how it looks like.During last class,Dr.Neo suggested me to go deeper into more content oriented.i understand what he means but for a fashion catalog website,it's mostly about how appealing those images are for the visitors.Since i decided my website will not be focusing on online selling with price tag inserted like usually what 'abrecrobie&fitch' and 'pull&bear' did..their website is more interacted with users targeted in young crowd. but mine wasn't designed that way,so i just made it easier showing what we basically have and what's going on with our company.
These are some other links i had in my website:

The sub-link was right under the big image.it was really eyes catchy if once when u enter a fashion website. it caught ur attention that it's unique and different rather than those who don't embed any art sense into it. and it gives a impression that how is our company's clothing style direction going to.

This is one of my web pages, how it will look like:

And this is the flowchart after changes:

demographic chat

Age group 15- 30: 50%

Age group 25- 45: 40%

Other edgy stylish crowd various from 40 to above: 10%

'make-up' demographics

Here are the basic demographics based on socio-demographic criteria and lifestyle criteria:

default page

This is how the basic first page look like before you enter the main page:

It's basically following my initiative plan, maintain the black and white default with the company's name 'nuef' at the foot corner of a dancing savvy women. If u wish to continue browsing our website, just simply click on' enter'.

Black and white effect gives it some kind of simple classic look.im pretty glad that i didn't change the main theme n so on. btw, since i'm a beginner in dreamweaver cs3. of course i didnt give much high level of expectation in my work which means sometime i could really do design but not so much in action in dreamweaver, so very limited things i could do here, and i will try to balance these two and make it my best:)

carry on working on the company website lately. the initial design is basically set up with a background color of black n white effect, a lady dancing with a 'neuf' logo at the left foot corner of it. that is the first page when u just enter the website. hopefully it will be eye catchy. i got help a bit from 'Adobe fireworks' to edit on the logo n its more likely in the way of using the photoshop adding on the image. it was fun creating the logo n have a bit of design sense in it but at this moment of process, i need to work on pages n links more to give me more motive n vibe for doing the whole thing. lets see how it will go next. will do a update tomorrow then.

I think i should really do apologize here to Dr.Neo that i overdo posting some political n personal stuff here.it's removed by now.
since its strictly limiting the role to class assignment.being noticed that i haven't showed much progress here, here is the stuff i have done however on my mind or really concrete been written down.

pre-authoring stage:

software installing is crucial to me somehow in the early stage,it didn't work so well for some reasons. since i never touched adobe design premium cs3 before expect randomly play around with photoshop only few times. the rest of the practice seemed vital for me.so for temporary use,i install the online trial.it helps me really do concern about the time limitations here.im currently still stay in index page.been really confused about the layout how it should be like, cos all these r still new to me.

media managing:

New media folder has been created right away.i know it will be alot html index n frames etc.could really mess up the work u ready doing here.so it's divided into pictures.content,flash,videos...

information gathering:

in pervious proposal, i didn't show much demograhical research on the target audience cos the charts n tables arent easy to find yet.but i did went through those website such as guess n abercrombie, gap, n so on...

these above are all before i start dreamweaver, it is a kick start n now im more concerning about the content n the company name logo which i decided on'neuf'.i should really start using flash n be familiar with it to have a quick design on it.not much time left already.A significant banner is essential to a fashion company webpage.

btw, if i wanted to import an already made picture, should i do citation for it?of course i will edit for it n make it mine. will it be a copyright controversial involved? just asking...

Basic layout, insert video...

as the web page goes on progressed,i started to create page layers n tried to insert graphics n basic tables.i did download the templates n started to decide on the layout, however it wont let me,some online tutorial seemed helped a bit.so i just draft a basic wireframe:

of course before u start, somewhat style of layers u like/dislike based on the site reference found brings u ideas of how urs would look like.

apparently..'header','navigation bar','body','footer' and two 'side bars' will be included in the initiated sketch.very simple layout so far since i just figured how the basic tool bar works.

ps:i found an abercrombie commercial on youtube n i did inserted in it.that was fun.actually u just need to go to'code' and embed the original code into dreamweaver coding part 'remove''copy' and 'paste'.that's all.
so,it actually looks like this:
it's weird i cant put the video below.what's going on?plus one question,if i wanna reduce the size of the side bars of my blog.do i need to change the codes too?where at?
Merci beaucoup...:P

oh,i woke up ...thinking of how am i gonna brainstorm about my perspective on a web present media rich website.so i went through all those senior's final pieces.it did encouraged me more on the efforts i must put in. much to absorb from n mostly it looked like nothing in this world is easy to earn.therefore,i thought about digging into :

1)Fashion industry, which i personally have great interests in. always remember, interests bring things easier to learn.
2)Technology company - future trends that is leading everything ahead
3)Tourism company, related with my previous major

those are just a briefing about which era i would possibly step in for my future final project. at the moment, there are just few come up into my mind.i need more inspirations but it will be fine i'm quite sure.
enough of my brainstorm for now i guess...

Today, not much of a special day,i picked up my blogging habit again. Not cos of i'm bored and wanna make a change but i want to,need to,have to show the progress of my interactive multimedia development concept. This is all kinda new to me marking another territory n do whatever i could to be traced well by Dr Neo. it's really a fun way though, besides all the pressure from getting an A level assignments n final papers.i do think perhaps i will gain much from it.Interesting subject,Dr.Neo...these all will be fun to learn:)
